Hey music makers!
Today I changed my goals on my musical growth plan for this term. I was beginning to think the original song I chose was going to be too difficult when I noticed there wasn’t really any chord patterns. I found it overwhelming to search for songs to learn at the beginning of the semester, and today was no exception. I felt rushed as I had to have a song chosen by the end of the class and theres so many songs to choose from it was like I was looking for a needle in a haystack. Luckily, Ari helped me out by recommending Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men. He showed me what he’s learned so far, and a great tutorial on youtube…thank you Ari!
This is a song is one that I used to absolutely love so I am really looking forward to playing it. I like too that it has a different strumming pattern than the song I learned for midterm. The strumming pattern is DD UU DU and repeats 4 times in chords Am, F, C and G. Then I will strum DD DD for the verses which will be in chords Am, F, C. Each of these chords I am familiar with from my last song but they are played at a faster tempo.
